For the Vanmade Original mattress, we offer firmness levels H2, H3, and H4 in our configurator.

The optimal firmness level is difficult to determine precisely, as it strongly depends on the selected mattress thickness and is also perceived individually. Our special HR cold foam always provides excellent comfort, and the firmness levels serve as a guideline for mattress thicknesses between 8 cm and 12 cm.

Our recommendation:
We recommend a selection between 8 cm and 12 cm to ensure optimal lying comfort while maintaining the mattress's manageability. With lower thickness, a higher firmness level is advisable to prevent sagging. The choice of firmness also depends on the bed construction.
For example, for a 4 cm pop-top mattress on a solid board, firmness H4 should be selected, while a disc spring system can also work with H3.

Please note that firmness level H4 is only suitable for the thinnest version at 4 cm.

We offer two zipper colors: Adventure Green or Mouse Gray.
For a bold accent, go for the Adventure Green zipper. If you prefer a subtle look, Mouse Gray is the right choice.

The core of the Vanmade Original mattress is made of open-pored and breathable HR cold foam. It has a density of 40 kg/m³ and compression hardness levels of 30 kPa, 40 kPa, and 50 kPa. A thinner mattress tends to feel softer, while a thicker one feels firmer and more stable.

The top – and thus the sleeping surface – is made of a double-knit fabric. This fabric was specially designed by our mattress industry partners for our applications. It is also water-repellent and resistant to dirt.

The bottom of the Vanmade Original Mattress is made from durable CORDURA®️ 560dtex fabric. This material is highly resistant and extremely robust, making it perfect for outdoor use.

Our Cordura®️ is equipped with a PFC-free finish.

Our sewing team places the zipper along all feasible and logical edges. For example, if your Vanmade Original Mattress includes a corner cut-out, our professional team will decide on the best path for the zipper.

On foldable mattresses, no zipper is placed at the folding sides. Instead, the durable Cordura® bottom fabric is sewn up to the top edge for reinforcement.

Did you know? The connections between two segments of folding mattresses are reinforced with a high-strength Cordura® fabric strip.

Folding Direction:
You can use the direction arrow to determine the fold direction.

What does top/bottom fold seam mean?
A solid line indicates that the mattress folds inward. The two elements of the foldable mattress are stitched together on the top. If a second fold is added, it’s stitched at the bottom so the mattress can fold into a "Z" shape. A third fold would also be sewn at the bottom.

Reinforcement Band:
To ensure optimal and long-lasting durability, the Cordura® bottom fabric is used as a reinforcement band between the mattress elements.

You have two options for configuring hook-and-loop straps:

Bottom-mounted hook-and-loop
In the configurator, you can choose to add straps to the underside. At least two straps will be sewn in to help fix your mattress in place. Each strap is 48 mm wide and placed 3 cm from the edge. Use the direction arrow to adjust placement.
The counterpart (loop side) is, of course, included, so you can fix it inside your vehicle. We recommend both glueing and stapling it. The adhesive strip is pre-applied.

Side-mounted connection straps
Hook-and-loop straps on the sides to connect two parts are also possible. Use our drawing template to mark your preferences.
Mattresses under 10 cm thick get 30 mm wide straps, while 10 cm and above receive 48 mm wide straps.

All our Vanmade mattresses are made in Germany. Using modern industrial machinery and experienced production teams, we custom-make each Vanmade with the utmost care. All materials are sourced from within Europe.

Premium Topper:
Our Vanmade Premium Topper is the ideal add-on if your existing mattress needs that extra something. It not only protects your mattress but also improves sleeping comfort and fills any gaps. Perfect when paired with the Vanmade mattress landscape.

Mattress Landscape:
Specifically designed for campers, the Vanmade mattress landscape allows flexible adaptation to your motorhome’s sleeping area. 7-Zone Mattress:
For fixed beds or standard-sized bed frames, the Vanmade 7-Zone Mattress is the perfect choice. Easily configurable, it provides excellent support, developed by experts.

Our Vanmade White Mattress covers are primarily made of polyester, making them perfect for mobile sleeping. They are breathable, quick-drying, and durable. Thanks to the viscose and cashmere content, the fabric feels luxuriously soft.

Washing Tips
All covers are removable and washable. We recommend washing at 30°C. Do not tumble dry or iron.

Our Vanmade White series uses two different foams: Gel Foam for the Premium Topper and a Hybrid High-Resilience Foam that combines the best of PU foam (like in home mattresses) and HR cold foam. This makes your Vanmade White Mattress extremely durable and breathable.

High density values ensure shape retention and durability.

The anti-slip bottom prevents your mattress from sliding on smooth surfaces like wood. If you choose this feature in the configurator, your mattress bottom will be replaced with a white anti-slip material during production.

Cut-outs, beveled corners, radii, and notches are made by our production team using a specific process and tailored to your specifications.
The foam core is cut using advanced hand tools and precise NC and CNC machines. Covers are handcrafted with great care and joined with the core afterward.

Washing tips:
The Cushion Oasis covers can easily be removed and washed at 60°C. Ironing is possible, but we do not recommend using a dryer.

We offer you three different firmness levels to suit your needs in your camper:

H2 – soft
If you like to sit softly and also want to use your Cushion Oasis for sleeping, we recommend a thickness of at least 10 cm. Due to the relatively small area where your full body weight rests while sitting, the cushion feels softer. While sleeping, however, the weight is better distributed.
H3 – medium
The golden mean for scenarios where you want to sit and lie comfortably. A medium-firm core with a thickness between 6 cm and 10 cm is ideal. At lower thicknesses, the core may feel noticeably softer.
H4 – firm
The firm core of the Cushion Oasis is mainly designed for sitting. Cushion thicknesses between 6 cm and 10 cm are sufficient for comfortable and ergonomic seating.

The cores of the Cushion Oasis are made from the same high-quality hybrid high-resilience foam as our mattresses.

What makes them different?
The foam cores are wrapped in a layer of wadding, ensuring the cushion covers fit perfectly and your seat feels pleasantly soft.

Please note that custom requests might take a little longer during peak season. Be sure to plan accordingly.

Light grey strips made of anti-slip material are sewn onto the underside of your Cushion Oasis. This prevents the cushion from slipping, even during bumpy rides.

The zipper is sewn on the side with a notch, usually placed at the back. It's also sewn invisibly, so it blends discreetly. In some cases, two sides may be equipped with a zipper.

All Vanmade mattresses and cushions are produced in Germany. With professional equipment and experienced production teams, we manufacture all Vanmades to order and with great care. All our materials are sourced from Europe.

No. Our configurator generates a drawing for you and our production team, including all measurements, folding points, and selected features. However, we recommend making a quick sketch for your own understanding beforehand.

The price consists of material costs (fabric, foam, zipper), individual labor costs based on the complexity of your Vanmade mattress, a marketing share, and, of course, the work of our Vanmade team.
Shipping costs are passed on 1:1 and we do not profit from them.

Yes, in the configurator you’ll find the "foldable" button, and you can choose between 1 to 3 fold points. You can also define the folding direction. Please pay attention to the arrangement of the fold lines (dashed or solid).

Reinforcement Band:
To guarantee durability of the Vanmade mattresses and cushions, we sew in a reinforcement band. This ensures all materials are optimally connected.

Yes. If you’re having trouble creating a drawing, our team can create one based on any sketch. This will be done in close consultation with you and include thorough advice.

We ship across Europe and our delivery times are currently:
approximately 11–16 working days (Vanmade Original)
and
approximately 11–16 working days (White Mattresses & Cushion Oasis).
Please make sure to order your Vanmade in time for your holiday, as our production is busiest from March to June.
Additionally, spring holidays and long weekends may affect production times. Please allow a bit of extra time.
Our shipping costs are €9.99 within Germany and €29.99 across Europe, depending on the number of items ordered.

We also ship to non-EU countries, such as Switzerland (DAP, untaxed).
You purchase tax-free from us and handle the import duties with your local customs office.

There you can choose a drop-off location or parcel shop if you're not home. If you experience any issues with your delivery, feel free to contact us by phone or via email.

As each Vanmade is custom-made, they are excluded from the right of return.

Our production team crafts every Vanmade mattress with care and precision. But mistakes can happen. Just contact us and we’ll sort it out for you.

Order changes are only possible under certain conditions. Here's how it works:

Change directly after ordering:
No problem. Just contact us quickly via email (support@vanmade.de) and we’ll go over your request together.

Your order is already in production:
At this stage, your order is already integrated into the production process and changes are no longer possible.

You’ve received your order and want to change something:
Get in touch and we’ll work out a solution with you.

Please take photos of the package and the damage before unpacking it, and check whether the Vanmade is intact despite any external damage. If anything is wrong, contact us and we’ll take care of it.

Yes. If you take cool photos of your Vanmade setup in your vehicle and actively follow and tag us on social media, we have several programs available for you. Just contact us with the keyword: Ambassador.
